The 2012 AGM took place on Saturday 15th September 2012.
On Friday evening we were entertained by watching a number of AVs from Circle 52. All except the entry that won the Liz Boud Rose Bowl Definitive Dungeness by Melanie Chalk CPAGB were shown. Melanie's winner was shown on Saturday following the shoing of the digital projected entries.
On Saturday, before and after the formal proceedings took place, were were extremely well entertained by 2 talented professional landscape photographers. The morning lecture was presented by Ken Bryan. Three Herons Studio Gallery Ken is a professional photographer based on the Isle of Skye and is also a member of UPP. He showed us a huge range of beautiful landscapes from there as well as the western isles and mainland Scotland. He demonstrated a real love for the landscape with many of his images taken early morning during the winter months so his dedication to his art and craft was obvious. As well as showing his images as digital projections he had brought along a wide range of A3 and A2 prints that were displayed around the room throughout the day.
In the afternoon we were, once again, extremely well entertained by John Webster ARPS MPAGB johnwebsterphotography.co.uk who is based in the North East of England. John showed us a completely different set of landscape images from around the world as well as some from the UK. He is also a nature photographer and showed a good selection of birds, butterflies and mammals from his travels. John's images, like Ken's previously, demonstrated the essence of light in his photographs.
Ken and John each donated a photograph for the raffle. Two lucky winners went away very happy indeed.
