In memory of Mick Willis
It is with regret that we have to inform you of the sad passing earlier this week (Tuesday 9th September 2025). He was a valued member of Circle 11 and Zoom Circles 4, 5 IR, 10 Mono.
He will be greatly missed by us all.

Mick's interest in photography started in his early teens, being taught to print by his father who had been a keen photographer all his life and particularly in the nineteen twenties. His enthusiasm rubbed off on both Mick and his brother Tony.
He was a member of the Ware and District Photographic Society.
Mick was a member of UPP Circle 11 for around 40 years? and saw the contrasting styles of circle members over the years as making C11 generally somewhat different to local Photographic Societies. He worked entirely in monochrome and changed from conventional silver printing to digital around the turn of the millennium.
Much of his work was in the medium of Infrared photography.
In later years Mick has been a keen member of a number of UPP Zoom circles, these were a great asset for him as his health declined and he could not get about so much.
